Info

In the weather settings, often the abbreviation SFX is used, meaning Special Effects (not Sound Effects).

  • Properties — not used in weather setup.
  • Global Settings — settings used for all weather presets.

    • Daytime Params:

      • Freeze Weather — do not change the weather thoughout the day.
      • Freeze Daytime — do not change the time of day.
      • Random Presets — choose the next weather condition at random.
      • Initial Daytime (Min) / Initial Daytime (Max) — initial daytime is set at random between the specified min and max values.
      • Set daytime in minutes — instead of the speed of the daytime, specify in minutes how long the day lasts.
      • Daytime Speed / Daytime Duration — how fast the time changes or the duration of the day in minutes.
      • Scale daytime speed during day — change the speed of the Sun throughout the day.
    • Gameplay params — weather parameters that are used for gameplay, game events or to activate an effect.

      • Sunrise/sunset angle — the angle of the Sun at which the sunrise/sunset begins. Affects, for example, the condition for enabling the Haze effect.
      • Solstice angle — the angle of the Sun during Solstice.
      • Aerials Opacity In Special Cases — the opacity of aerial objects (clouds, etc.) for special cases: for example, in the Eagle mode.
    • Rain And Wetness Params:

      • Making All Wet Time — the time it takes to make all objects that can be wet have a wetness level of 1 at maximum rain power.
      • Making All Dry Time — the time it takes to make all objects that can be wet have a wetness level of 0 when there is no rain.
      • Rain Density To Power — how the rain density (X) corresponds to the rain power (Y).
      • Rain Fog Density To Power — how the fog density (X) corresponds to the rain power (Y).
      • Rain Density To Drops On Glass Intensity — how the drops on glass intensity (Y) corresponds to the rain power (X).
      • Decals Common Porosity / Imposters Common Porosity — how wet can decals/imposters become. Imposters are simplified models of the objects which replace the original objects at a great distance.
      • Imposters Common Wetness Scale — a separate parameter for tweaking imposters wetness.
