Buildings

In Roadcraft, there are different types of buildings:

Building

Description

FOB

FOB-buildings prefabs have _fob_ in the name. These buildings have the following zones:

  • Garage zone — the player can access their vehicles or purchase new vehicles.
  • Resource scanner — the player can dispose of the resources there.
  • Resource spawner — the player can retrieve the resources they have disposed of to the resource scanner in this or another location.
  • Resource manage domain — zone where resource scanner and spawner become available to the player.

Recycling

Recycling facilities prefabs have _recycling_ in the name. These buildings have a special zone where the player can recycle objects and get resources instead of them.

Store

Stores prefabs have _store_ in the name. These buildings have a special store zone where the player can purchase and sell resources.

Quarry

Quarries prefabs have _quarry_ in the name. These buildings are used to give the player access to the sand resource.

The main settings of a quarry available in Inspector:

  • Sand Distance — radius in which the player has access to sand.
  • Current Sand/Max Sand — the current and the maximum amounts of sand available to the player. The Max Sand parameter affects the progress bar of the quarry usage.
  • Fuel Coins For Activate — the price that needs to be paid to activate the quarry.

Disable building

To disable the building zones and other interactive elements, tick off the Enable/Disable checkbox in the building settings in Inspector.

Broken buildings

Most of the building prefabs have a corresponding _plan_ prefab --- a broken version of the building. You can add these broken building and make the player fix them or force build them using blueprint scripts.
