Panel/Section

Description

1.

Main Menu + Toolbar

Allows you to open files and scenes, change your preferences, manage panels, etc.

Content Browser

Displays project files in the hierarchy. You can search, filter, and browse project files, and perform various operations on them.

Mod Manager

Displays a list of the created mods.

Tool Shelf

Provides general utilities and utilities available for the selected object.

Viewport

Allows you to visually navigate and edit a scene.

Problems

Displays errors and warnings that occur in the scene/blueprint/etc.

Output

Displays logs of various processes.

Outliner

Displays scene objects in the hierarchy.

Inspector

Allows you to edit the selected object properties.

Tooltips

Many elements in the editor have tooltips: if you hover over a button, its name and, most of the time, a short reference will pop up.

Saving progress

If a scene / prefab instance / blueprint / etc. is changed, the corresponding tab name will have a * prefix:

Press Ctrl+S to save the changes. The progress is also saved automatically: every 5 minutes by default. You can change the interval in Preferences.
